About this Blog

I am a feminist living in London, and this blog was born as a result of my various beliefs.

I believe in an equal society free from oppression, where discrimination on the grounds of gender, race and sexuality will be non-existent. I believe in the right of the individual to grow up unhampered by prescribed roles. I believe in freedom from religious tyranny; I believe in independent thought. I believe in clarity of vision, and the courage to speak out about it. I believe that words can lead to change.

In this blog, I talk about my personal experiences, as well as critique certain aspects of culture through the lens of feminism. I love to read comments on my posts, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts!

  1. I discovered your blog today and read through all of it in one sitting. It is well written and thoughtful. I have never really identified myself as feminist before, but you may have changed that. I am living in Uganda at the moment and the sexism is even more staggering here. Your blog is giving me the spirit to stand up in a country where it is extremely rampant (pretty much the norm) and hopefully inspire both men and women to stand against it.

  2. Just read your “Objectification. ..” article.
    Spot on.
Enthusiastically recommending it to everyone I can.
    All the best.

  3. I love your blog. In particular, I commend you for discussing black women–Telegraph Article – Why Are Black Female Victims Seemingly Invisible?–a group feminist discourse often seems to, ironically, overlook or not take seriously. I’ve been subscribed to your blog for at least a year, recommend it to others, and eagerly await your posts. Your analysis is sharp and helps clarify my articulation of certain aspects of patriarchy. Please keep it coming- it makes an impact in the world 🙂

  4. Hi! I really enjoy your blog, and since you are one of the people I feel have great, solid and intelligent opinions I was wondering if you maybe have some tips. I’m looking for a blog/website like yours but with a focus on racism, do you maybe have some suggestions? I’m writing an essay on whitewashing/racebending and if I could find a blog about these topics or racism in general it would really help me on the way!
    (I’ve already checked out racebending.com!)
